Our commitment
Regency Dental Group is committed to making its website accessible to people with disabilities, consistent with the spirit of the Americans with Disabilities Act and California's Unruh Civil Rights Act. Accessibility is part of how this site was designed and built, not an add-on, and we treat feedback about barriers as a priority.
Conformance target and testing
This website was built to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at Level AA. Before launch, every page template was tested with automated tools (axe-core running in a real browser against the built site) and with manual keyboard and screen-reader checks. Automated testing catches only a portion of accessibility issues, so we do not claim that every page is free of barriers; we claim that we test against this standard, fix what we find, and respond to reports.
What we built in
- Semantic HTML with proper landmarks, one main heading per page, and a logical heading order.
- A "Skip to main content" link as the first focusable element on every page.
- Visible keyboard focus on every interactive element, and full keyboard operability of menus, dialogs, accordions and forms.
- Text and interface colors chosen to meet or exceed the 4.5:1 contrast ratio for normal text, measured against the actual backgrounds they sit on.
- Respect for your system's reduced-motion setting: animations and the moving background stop when it is enabled.
- An on-page accessibility panel (the accessibility icon in the floating toolbar) with text size, line and letter spacing, a high-legibility font, high contrast, grayscale, link highlighting, a large cursor, a reading guide, a strong focus indicator, and controls to reduce or pause motion. Your choices are saved on your device.
- Meaningful alternative text for informative images and empty alternative text for decorative ones.
- Fluid, responsive layouts that work at 400 percent zoom and on small screens, with no horizontal scrolling.
- Videos and maps that load only when you choose, with clear labels.
Known limitations
- Our archive contains hundreds of older blog posts imported from a previous platform. We cleaned their markup, but some older images lack descriptive alternative text and some embedded third-party videos may not include captions. We are addressing these as we review the archive.
- The online appointment request form, when enabled, is provided by a third-party vendor. We selected a vendor that publishes an accessibility conformance report, but we do not control its interface. If you have difficulty with the form, please call (707) 453-1776 and we will schedule you by phone.
- The interactive map is provided by a third party. Directions are also provided in text on the contact page.
Physical accessibility
Our office at 1001 Nut Tree Road, Suite 230, Vacaville, has accessible parking and an accessible building entrance. If you use a wheelchair, have a service animal, need a sign-language interpreter, need materials in large print, or have any other access need, please tell us when you schedule so we can prepare. We will make reasonable accommodations to ensure you receive care.
Feedback and help
If you encounter a barrier on this website or in our office, please contact us. Tell us the page or the feature, what happened, and the browser or assistive technology you were using, and we will work to fix it and to get you the information or service you need another way in the meantime.
