Our story

Regency Dental Group opened on Nut Tree Road in the 1990s, and we have never left. That continuity is unusual in dentistry, and it shapes everything about the practice. Patients who came in as children now bring their own kids. Our hygienists and assistants have been here long enough to remember your last visit without looking at the chart. And because we have watched thousands of Vacaville smiles over decades, we have a realistic sense of what works and what does not.

Dr. Lance Carter, DDS, leads the practice today. He is a general dentist who provides the full range of family, restorative and cosmetic dentistry, and who is honest about the few things a general dentist should refer to a specialist. His style is direct and unhurried: he shows you the X-ray, explains what he sees, lays out the options and the cost, and lets you decide.

We have offered oral sedation for years, and we pair it with the low-tech things that matter just as much: a slower pace, a hand signal that pauses treatment instantly, and a team that never makes you feel foolish for being nervous. Many of our most loyal patients are people who once could not sit in a dental chair.

Technology that saves you visits

Pressed for time? We have used CEREC chairside ceramics for years, which means a broken tooth can be rebuilt with a permanent all-ceramic crown in a single visit while you wait. Digital X-rays reduce radiation and let us show you exactly what we see, and intraoral cameras make it easy to understand why we recommend what we recommend.

Safety and sterilization

Extra care is taken to ensure that the highest standards of disinfection and sterilization are followed. Instruments are heat-sterilized and monitored, treatment rooms are disinfected between every patient, and our protocols follow the current guidance of the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention and the Dental Board of California. You should be able to relax in our chair knowing that your well-being is the priority.
